13. Münchener Forschungspreis für Wirtschaftsprüfung
The Munich Research Prize for Auditing (Münchener Forschungspreis für Wirtschaftsprüfung) was awarded for the 13th consecutive time by the Institute for Accounting, Auditing and Analysis of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität of Munich on 26 October, 2015.
The prize is awarded for outstanding research achievements on the subject of auditing. Particularly, the authors of dissertations, bachelor and master theses, project studies and other types of publications at the Institute for Accounting, Auditing and Analysis will be rewarded.
The prizes are founded by the audit firm Deloitte & Touche.
Julian Kasturiarachchige is awarded the prize for the best bachelor thesis and presents his topic "R & D and earnings management – An empirical analysis of analysts ́ reactions during conference calls".
Stephan Mayerhausen is awarded the prize for the best master thesis and presents his topic "Measuring IFRS Adoption across Global Jurisdictions".
Dr. Tobias Friedrich is awarded the prize for the best doctoral thesis and presents his topic "Valuation of firms under bankruptcy risk (original title in German)".
This very successful event took place with great approval from numerous guests from practice and science and many participating students.
